Match Review
Park endured an agonising defeat at Old Bath Road, as a penalty try in the dying minutes gave Rams a 38–34 victory in Round 4 of National 1.
Park started the brighter of the two sides, taking a 24–21 lead into half-time. However, the hosts bounced back in the second 40 to eventually secure the win.
Reflecting on the afternoon at Old Bath Road, prop George Orchard said: “We showed some good moments out there, and scored a few good tries.
“But ultimately, our ill-discipline let them back into the game, so we need to get back to training this week and improve upon that.”

GREENS 29 – 44 FETCHAM A
Rosslyn Park Greens took an early lead and were up after the first quarter in their game against Fetcham. Our defensive pressure was strong throughout, with Freya Glanvill (GK/GD) picking up double Player of the Match for her constant interceptions and disruption of Fetcham’s play. Fetcham pulled away in the latter stages to finish 44–29, but there were plenty of positives to take from a competitive game. A great opportunity for everyone to get minutes and start building those new combinations.

RFC500 Ride for Crawford
Our home fixture against Sheffield on Saturday 3 October will be about more than rugby, as Rosslyn Park comes together to celebrate the completion of RFC500 – Ride for Crawford.
The challenge, organised by Crawford’s friends following his illness, will see around 15–20 core riders cycle from Strone in Scotland to Rosslyn Park over seven days, with others joining them for stages along the way.
Starting on Sunday 27 September, the route reflects Crawford’s own journey through life, taking in his primary school in Strone, as well as Durham and Oxford, where he studied, before finishing at the Club.
The ride is raising money for two causes particularly important to Crawford: The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, whose care he has experienced first-hand, and The Brain Tumour Charity, through the Lewis Moody Foundation.
