With the National League One 2024/2025 season only weeks away, the Men’s 1st XV have returned to The Rock and are working hard behind the scenes to prepare.
August will see three friendly games, in the first hit out we welcome Leicester Lions to SW london on the 17 August, KO 3pm, followed by Barnes RFC in a Friday night fixture on the 23 August, KO 8pm. The final warm up game sees the squad take on Bury St Edmunds at the Rock on 31 August at 1pm. Entry to all pre-season games is complimentary.
The competitive season kicks off with a trip up the M1 to face the newly promoted Rotherham Titans on 7 September (read the latest away travel news here). Rolling straight into one of the most anticipated games of the season in round two, Richmond at home on Saturday 14 September. This local London derby brings out the best of both teams and is definitely a must in your calendar. Before the game we will be hosting the annual Former Players Lunch, where we look forward to seeing many familiar faces back at the club.
The National League one London contingent has gained a new member this season, as we welcome back Esher. Joining Blackheath and Richmond, the tally of London-based clubs rises to four, adding an exciting extra London derby into the mix (Saturday 5 October H, Saturday 25 January A).
Friday Night Lights makes its return to The Rock on Friday 8 November when we play Bishop’s Stortford, KO 8PM, before a busy December with Rams at home on 14 December. Our final game before Christmas sees the boys make the short journey to Richmond Athletic Ground before signing off for a well earned break.
Park kicks the New Year off in style with back-to-back home games against Blackheath and Darlington Mowden Park (11 January, 18 January)
Closing the curtains of the 24/25 season at home, we host Rotherham for a final run-out, Saturday 26 April.
