MATCH PREVIEW | ROUND 16 VS BLACKHEATH

ROSSLYN PARK vs BLACKHEATH | SAT 17 JAN | 3PM

Unfortunately, Rosslyn Park’s fixture against Birmingham Moseley was postponed last weekend as Storm Goretti brought much of the country to a standstill. Park will now have a second chance to start 2026 in the best possible way as local rivals Blackheath visit The Rock this weekend, in what promises to be a feisty encounter.

There will be plenty of motivation for the visitors, who will be seeking revenge after Rosslyn Park fought back from 13–7 down to secure a dramatic 31–27 victory at the Utilita earlier this season in September. Luke Mehson was the standout on that occasion, repeatedly cutting through the Blackheath defence.

However, in a rivalry that dates back to the late 1800s, form often counts for little. Recent meetings between the two sides suggest another tight contest awaits, including a memorable 29–29 draw in April 2024.

So let’s get behind the boys at The Rock in a fixture that means more!
