A LOOK AHEAD TO tomorrow’s local derby
esher vs rosslyn park, SATURDAY 10th SEPTEMBER, KO 3PM
Rosslyn Park won’t have to travel far for their first away fixture of the season as they are headed to local rivals Esher on Saturday. Esher made their return to National League 1 this season after two years spent in National League 2 South and will be looking to mark their arrival by getting their first win of the season after they lost 38-31 against Rams in week 1. Park, however, will be looking to add to their momentum following last week’s 46-26 victory over Cinderford and as a club with Championship aspirations, they will look to stamp their authority over a newly promoted side.
The last season in which Park and Esher faced off against one another was in 2018/19 and saw the two sides each pick up an away win with Esher defeating Park at The Rock 17-25 before Park returned the favour later on in the season, running out as 13-17 winners at Esher. Park will be looking for a repeat of that away result this season but will need a more dominant performance if they want to grab the bonus point on offer.
