Coaches Corner | ESHER (H) PREVIEW

A very warm welcome back to the Rock for this Saturday’s clash against Esher.

The boys are raring to go and are excited for what is only our second run-out at home this season and hope to put on an extremely dynamic performance for the Park faithful.

The last time the two clubs came together was in the 2022/2023 National One season which finished with Park on top at the final whistle, 48-32. This is our third local derby in only 5 games and I’m sure Saturday will be another extremely close encounter.

It goes without saying that the group were incredibly disappointed to be on the wrong side of three close clashes against Rotherham, Richmond, and Blackheath at the start of our 24/25 campaign, but we feel like we have learnt huge lessons from each game and hope we can build on last week’s dominant performance at Darlington.

The boys are working tirelessly during the week on our attacking fundamentals and very much look forward to putting this to practice against Esher this weekend. We are under no illusion on the competitiveness of the league and know we will yet again need to be at our best to be on the right side of the scoreboard at 80mins.

Your continued support doesn’t go unnoticed and I very much hope you will enjoy the game and I look forward to catching you in the clubhouse after!
