RUGBY AGAINST CANCER
With the support of the rugby community, Rugby Against Cancer provides a wide range of resources and assistance to those within the rugby family, or their loved ones, who are facing cancer. These offerings include stays at the static caravan, ‘The RAC Shack,’ in Bournemouth for Memory Making or Restbite, Chemo Care Packs, support for overnight stays, family outings, fundraising guidance, and much more.
Throughout the year, Rugby Against Cancer organises various events that raise the charity’s profile, increase awareness, and generate the funds necessary to continue providing these important services.
The charity also has sports teams that help raise awareness and funds while offering businesses sponsorship opportunities to show their support. Rugby Against Cancer’s teams include Men’s and Women’s 15s rugby squads, Elite and social 7s teams, and even cricket matches. In addition, participants have competed in events like London’s Bridge Relay, further spreading the charity’s message.
Many generous individuals dedicate their time and effort to support Rugby Against Cancer through sponsored activities. Last year, the charity was proud to partner with the Mortgage Awards in London and saw supporters hosting coffee mornings, cake sales, and kit sales, delivering presentations at universities, and taking part in sponsored hikes, runs, and other challenges. The charity is deeply grateful for every effort made.
