Kingston Reds continued the 2023 season this Saturday with a fantastic 37-29 win against Fetcham A.

Park got off to an excellent start, the attack were in their element creating lots of space in the circle, with some brilliant drives into pocket from Tash at WA, with Bert supporting at the top of the D and getting the centre passes out nicely. Milly continued with her trademark pops into Charli and Park were swiftly off to a comfortable lead. First quarter: 12-7

Park Reds piled on the pressure in the second quarter with Milly continuing to create space, drawing the defence, and finding Charli under the post on multiple occasions. The defensive unit of Kate, Sim & Gabs piled on the pressure on the Fetcham A attack, with their masterful tips and turnovers, and Kate did a stunning job of bringing the ball out of defence and taking Fetcham WA out of the game. This brilliant session of play resulted in Park further extending their lead. Second quarter: 22-12

The third quarter saw some changes for Park, with Lauren coming on at WD and McNally moving to C bringing fresh energy to the centre court unit and showcasing the depth of the squad. Fetcham A came with some fight and scored 4 goals at the beginning of the quarter. Park dug deep and showed great resilience which resulted in several turnovers from both the defence and attack. McNally played a great role in providing the link from attack to defence, whilst Milly continued to run rampage in the circle, confusing the Fetcham defence and creating space for Charli to score goals. This meant Park were able to maintain a comfortable lead heading into the final quarter. Third quarter: 28-19

Once again Park got off to a slow start, with Fetcham A coming within 5 goals, this spurred on Park to dig deep, and they remained calm and retained solid defence all the way down the court, resulting in a win for Park and final score 37-29. Great effort all round from Park and a sensational shift from Tash who has now been voted away POM two matches in a row! Final Score: 37-29
