Match Preview – Rams (H)

a look ahead to saturday’s TOP OF THE TABLE CLASH

Rosslyn park vs RAMS, SATURDAY 22nd october, KO 3PM

A mouthwatering, top of the table clash awaits spectators this Saturday as Park welcome Rams to The Rock in Round 7 of the National League 1 season.

Both sides head into to this fixture unbeaten, having picked up a bonus point in each win so far to leave the two clubs sitting atop the league table on 30 points apiece.

Since their promotion to National 1 in the 2019/20 season Rams have won all three matchups against Park, doing the league double over Park last year despite trailing Park by 12-points in the final standings at the end of the year. Park will look to get the monkey off their back and pick up a statement win against a team that has been a thorn in their side.

Rams barely seemed to break a sweat during their 5-game winning streak to start the season beating Esher, Chinnor, Hull, Bishop’s Stortford and Darlington Mowden Park by an average of 24 points. However, last week, they were pushed to the limit at home by a previously unbeaten Cambridge side that fell to a narrow 29-26 defeat in the tightest contest Rams have been a part of thus far.

Park will know a thing or two about tight contests as they have been a part of several close games against Esher, Bishop’s Stortford and DMP, so can be confident that, should the going get tough on Saturday, they have the experience to emerge on the other side with a win.

Whatever the result, Saturday’s game is sure to live up to the hype. You won’t want to miss it.
