On Saturday the 1st XV travel to Darlington Mowden Park in search of their first win of the season.
A strong performance against Blackheath was not enough to get the boys up and running on the victory count.
Darlington Mowden Park have also had a tough start to their season and they currently sit joint bottom alongside ourselves, Leicester Lions and Esher. They have a points difference of -87 versus our -20. A big game for both teams looking to build some momentum and find their groove. Following a 7th placed finish last year, bottom of the league isn’t a true representation of their squad and that is the same for Rosslyn Park.
A tough game is expected and the team are taking preparations seriously, Captain Arthur Ellis who is returning from injury this weekend and when asked about the trip up north he emphasised how difficult a trip it is; “Going to Darlington is always a tough task, the 4-hour journey isn’t the best place to start when playing against a well drilled side like DMP, you have to be at your best to beat them in their home stadium, they like to play a good brand of rugby and can be very dangerous if allowed to be”.
The game kicks off at 3PM and all match updates will be posted play by play over on X @Rosslynpark
Team News @ 12PM on Friday!
