a look ahead to saturday’s game
Rosslyn park vs LEEDS TYKES, SATURDAY 12TH NOVEMBER, KO 3PM
Park will head into this weekend’s fixture confident that they can get back to winning ways at home as they welcome 11th place Leeds Tykes to The Rock.
Leeds have had a rollercoaster of a start to their season as they began by losing 3 in a row. However, they bounced back to go on a 3-match winning streak, before suffering another slide as they have again lost their last 3 on the trot. These most recent results have seen them pick up losses against Bishop’s Stortford and Darlington Mowden Park before, most recently, they were overturned at home last week by the league leaders, Rams. The Yorkshire outfit will hope that they can respond to their most recent losing streak in the same manner as they did earlier in the season, but a tall task awaits them at The Rock on Saturday.
The two sides have only played each other twice since Leeds Tykes (formerly known as Yorkshire Carnegie prior to joining National 1) were relegated from the Championship following the 2019/20 season. Park ran out as winners in both of those two matches, with an eye-catching 60-10 victory at The Rock being one of Park’s highlight performances last season. A result they will be hoping for a repeat of this weekend.
