The foundations of the Rosslyn Park Business Club

RP has joined the Wandsworth Chamber of Commerce in a new drive to:

  • boost our Community reach
  • widen our Membership base
    extend partnerships and sponsors
  • increase awareness East of Putney

Many members of the Chamber were not aware of Rosslyn Park, it’s heritage and position in the top 30 clubs in England. They were also unaware of the opportunities to develop commercial relationships with clients in a great sporting atmosphere.

To reinforce this membership we are keen to develop The Rosslyn Park Business Club, meeting monthly.

Wandsworth Chamber of Commerce:

  • network of local business people who come together to further business interests
  • over 13,000 VAT payers in the Borough
  • many businesses need entrepreneurship and the benefits of mutual self-help
  • The Chamber has a good track record of developing business relationships, meeting key stakeholders

Date Wednesday 5th June 2019
The 3rd meeting in Obo’s bar was a great success. The decision to promote a topic based meeting was well received by the 30 businesses attending. The topic this month was “Property”. Savills, a sponsor of Rosslyn Park, kindly provided senior representatives to attend.

Simon Scott, Heads of Region for SW London, gave an interesting and well researched view of the property market both in London and globally.

Ben Senior, Associate at SPF Private Clients, added a specialist view of financing property and the recent changes in products and interest rates, with respect to Limited Companies and individuals.

Q & A enriched this and led to even more useful information.

All attendees briefly explained their business offer and proved the variety of businesses in attendance. Some gave evidence of how contacts at the club had already led to valuable new business.

Launch Event

Date: 3 April 2019
The Worshipful The Mayor of Wandsworth Councillor Mr Piers McCausland, launched The Rosslyn Park Business Club in conjunction with the Wandsworth Chamber of Commerce, on 3rd April 2019.

Over forty local business leaders attended Rosslyn Park to discuss how The Park could widen it’s commercial reach and link with Wandsworth businesses.

A well known guest was Emmerdale celebrity Gemma Oaten who made a personal and moving appeal for donations to a charity supporting those with eating disorders, (SEED run by Marg Oaten MBE). Her own distressing story was a strong reminder of the help needed.
