This Thursday members of the 1st XV squad will be running another of our Thursday Night Floodlit Skills Sessions.
Older Age Groups : The coaches will set up a series of stations working on the lineout and on kicking technique.
Younger Age Groups : The focus this week will be on tackling technique and clean offloads or tidy ball presentation. If you or your team have a tendency to wait until you’re caught then to throw a rugby netball type pass this is the session for you …
All players will be taken through some core strength and conditioning work at these sessions followed by a full warm-down.
The sessions are free to all rugby players. You do not have to be a member of Rosslyn Park or be attached to any club at all. To get the most out of the sessions please arrive in good time and be changed and ready to go for 5:30pm.
Groups will be split by age bands.
Don’t forget your gum shields, scrum caps and enough base layers for evening training.
Special note re our new pitch : Please make sure your boots aren’t covered in mud from the park or your school sports grounds.
Rosslyn Park has set aside a valuable rental slot on the new artificial pitch to allow the younger sections of the club and the local community to benefit from professional coaching in key skills.
These sessions are free to all and are played under the Floodlights.
The aim is to allow players to benefit from the experience of current players without the perceived pressure of their school or club coaching staff assessing them during the session.
